I loved this book basically because it seemed like real life. The ending to the book was not what I expected, but I find in retrospect that I actually liked how it ended. Most of the book takes place in Boston and in Boston suburbs, so it seemed very real to me as I could picture where the characters were and I liked that. The main character, Gogol, rides the T and commuter rail often and he describes watching other passengers and how he meets people on the train. I loved those scenes because when I commuting I do the same things (like everyone does). I picked up the book because I knew the movie was coming out and wanted to read it first. I couldn't put it down and really felt like I was experiencing life along with this fictional family. I would definitely recommend it and it's a quick read anyways!
