I really do love Nick Hornby's writing. I liked having a laugh at the characters - a true, out-loud laugh. Marcus is such an awkward child who, thankfully, doesn't seem to be affected by people laughing at his expense. His contrariness both made him lovable and pitiful. Will was also lovable and pitiful, though in very different ways. The book was light, easy to pick up and put down, and is definitely recommended.
