This book was amazing! I like how the story was set up into an alternate society, where officials monitered almost everything you do. I don't usually read book like that, so I was surprised at how much I loved it. The characters are great. I really get to know a lot about their personalities and who they are as a person in this type of sociey. The rules of this society made me so angry and at times I wanted to jump into the book and just scream at some of the decisions made, which is why I loved the main character Cassia who questioned the officials and society. I also fell in love with ky and Xander and had a hard time choosing between the two; I can see why Cassia had such a hard time, but she doesn't give a truly difinitive answer in the end which I like. It gives you room to wonder, but still be sure on her answer. The book left me with many questions, most went unanswered, but will probably be resolved in the next installment, some were anwsered and i was shocked by the answers, and some I have a feeling will go unanswered which bothers me a little. I can't wait for the sequel because this book was amazing and I feel a connection to the characters and their search for the freedom of choice.
LOOOved this book!! It totally took me by surprise, the first chapter got me really hooked, the second one was quite boring, but I'm glad I got through it. And in the end most things tied together and made sense in retrospect. Not a masterpiece, but definitely an adventurous read.
