This was cool, pretty funny, very lite, like a newspaper comic strip. My favorite part was the Buzzard's background story and the retro ads in between the stories. The paintings are nice too. So I'd say this isn't on the mandatory reading list but it is a bit of fun if you're into this kind of retro/weird tales/comedy thing. Was looking through old ratings and noticed that I only rated this 3 stars and I was surprised because I love this series now but I guess the first one just didn't grab me as much as the later books. So I'd like to formally change my review to read that this SERIES is definitely ON the mandatory reading list. If you think the first one is okay then read the next couple books and you shouldn't be disappointed.
