It was a good read. Was a bit redundant at times. I was involved in the Hush Puppies "tipping point" in HS. Yep, I owned 3 pairs.
Running with Scissors is a visceral journey of an adolescent coming to age in the most absurdly entertaining circumstances. It's vulgar and gut-wrenching, and at times completely hilarious. I felt bad laughing at some points, considering it is a true story. It's just a dark tale of someone's childhood, and it's really funny. If you can laugh at someone making their terribly dysfunctional childhood seem funny, this is the book for you.
