Haven is suffering from a major case of nostalgia. For the past few years, everything has been messed up: her father left her mother for the local television "Weather Pet," her sister Ashley is engaged to the most boring guy, and to top it off, Haven is almost six feet tall and still growing. Her job at the mall's shoe store is horrible...her best friend came back from camp with a long-distance boyfriend...and she just can't seem to find herself anymore. Haven misses the summer her family and Ashley's boyfriend Sumner went to Virginia Beach. Back then, everything made sense, and everyone was happy. Is it a coincidence that Sumner shows up and reinforces these happy memories...or can appearances be deceiving?
Such a great book for young adults. There's so much that goes on and you root for the underdog.
