This book was really exciting!! It's hard for me to review this book because I really really enjoyed it, but its "essence" was extremely unrealistic and in my mind it could never happen in real life, nevertheless it didn't stop it from being thrilling and really great. The DUFF aka. Bianca is a very cynical, unromantic, low self esteemed girl. She gets involved in a totally physical/sexual relationship with Wesley, womanizer, popular guy in school which she completely hates. As the story progresses she realizes how this spoiled guy which she hates and uses to forget her own problems has actually problems of his own, and they are able to create this connection that frightens Bianca, as she is torn between who Wesley truly is. The plot line is really original and I feel everyone has that person that they hate their guts, and the idea of ever crossing that line of love and hate is outrageous but compelling. However, I think the author got a little carried away with the excess dramatic romance which made it unrealistic. I really enjoyed the amount of description in the novel, I thought it was just the right quantity and I could picture every single character in my head. I wasn't so fond of the writing as it was a little to informal and juvenile but it was tolerable. The story conveys a really positive message about self-loving and I thought that was very nice. I don't have a lot to say about this book except that I would recommend it. It is an entertaining read and it gets more meaningful and deeper as you keep on reading. x Aline
