This is a sad book. It's written by someone with a 5th grade education and I think it accurately reflects that in it's editing. It's also uplifting in that it shows what a survivor the author is. I think the best part is when she writes about how hard she had to work to survive after her captivity. That is not something I have ever thought about but it was the most eye-opening and interesting part of the book.
