I really liked this book the first time I read it. I'm sure if I read it again I wouldn't like the whole 'bootstraps' ideology that goes along with it. Eric Nord, if you ever want this back, it's yours.
This was my second graphic novel.. what a way to digest history. Thoughful and wrought with history and emotion. Wonderful portrayal of corruption and organized crime, Kansas City Style.
Totally fun to read. Loved the format, the letters the characters write back and forth, the great illustrations, and the use of BIG words. Kids will enjoy this series and improve their vocab at the same time. Can't wait for the second one out in the fall.
