I have the original 2002 edition, which is 663 pages; I'd like to read this longer edition as well. This is a terrific encyclopedia (and dictionary) that does a good job of covering the history of the counterculture movement of the 1960s & 1970s. I’m a baby boomer and was an adolescent and young adult living in San Francisco during most of this time period – I smiled a lot in recognition while reading this book.
Good Boston PI tale. Son of police commissioner, stops killing of mayor's girlfriend at parade. Chases shooter, captures the shooter, gets caught by police and finds shooter is killed by police.
