I enjoyed this book club pick about a high powered executive and mother whose life changes after a car accident that leaves her absolutely unaware of the left side of her body and the world. The author has a medical background and painstakingly describes her difficulties, which I think is both an asset and a curse, to this story. It's interesting to picture the specific difficulties she has dressing or using the restroom, but at some point, you end up skimming it (yeah, yeah, she has problems...) to get to the meat of the plot (does she get better, if so how much and how does she cope with the changes). I especially enjoyed reading about her improved relationship with her mom and felt that plot thread was particularly valuable. I think it could have used a good edit to cut down on all of the specific medical stuff, but overall, a good read.
