Quite entertaining--Bobby and Angela are secret service agents, separated nearly a year ago. He's the quintessential buttoned-up man's man--stiff-upper-lip, never let them see you sweat, never mind cry kind of guy. Angela comes from a boisterous, emotive Italian family, and while Bobby's reticence initially appealed to her, she feels emotionally shut out by his inability to share his feelings with her. They are working on opposite coasts when they are pulled for an undercover assignment posing as a married household help for the president's mother. A great cast of secondary characters and a solid plot helped keep my interest throughout. I did get slightly frustrated with Bobby and Angela's basic issue, but Ms. McBride handles in a way that felt relatively fresh and the story as a whole was a fun read. Definitely interested in reading more of Ms. McBride's work.
