This book was written by a French woman who was an exchange student in the US and gained some weight. When she went back to France, her doctor helped her loose the weight. She gives good advice on how to eat right and eat well. If you enjoy eating and are trying to loose weight, I highly recommend this book. It's easy to read, funny, and even has some French recipes in it.

Awesome book. Very easy to read even though it's written by an academic and published by an academic press. The book does an excellent job at making history interesting and accessible to the masses.
