I thought this was going to be a mystery novel, but it's much, much more. Many of the women in the bookclub who read it were dissapointed in the weak mother character. I found it very belivable. There are some other issues that one could question, but this book is very well written and some of the description is very poetic.

This is a great story about the trial of a sixteen year old boy involved in a murder. It is in the format of a movie he is writing about his own story, and his notes. I learned much about the way a trial is run and about the true horrors of prison. It was a very interesting and unique book to read, and taught me many facts. I encourage young adults to read it.
