This book was really a page turner for me. I wanted to know what happens next! A story about a doctor who has to deliver his own baby because of a fierce snow storm. The first baby, a son, is delivered and then comes an unexpected surprise - another baby. The second baby, a daughter is born with Down Syndrome and he gives the baby over to his nurse and tells her to take the baby to a "home". The nurse couldn't leave the baby there so she moves away and raises the baby as her own. Secrets, lies, redemption, and guileless love play a role in the story. I gave it 4 stars because I thought the author rehashed too much in telling the story. I would recommend it though. Good bookclub read to discuss.
