I think this book is very suspenseful because of the story of the main character, Clara. She goes through so many hardships throughout the story as in losing her mother in childbirth, dealing with an obsessive boyfriend, and moving to a new city for a fresh start. I thought that this book really put the reader in a sense of them experiencing the events for themselves. I didn't understand some parts on rare occasion, but it was overall a seriously amazing and touching story.

I didn't love this middle school story, but I did love the premise of the origami Yoda dispensing advice to clueless boys and girls. I think this would easily please the reluctant reader crowd of both sexes.

did you know lovecraft invented the necronomicon? SO brilliant, loved his repetition of simple phrases and themes. The stories are built off one another. My fave was probably "The Case of Charles Dexter Ward."
