If you are interested in a book about some upper middle class jerk who neglects his wife and son so he can live a vain life centered around his Great-Gatsby-like friendship with some corrupt guy, then this book is for you. Unfortunately, none of that appealed to me. Really, I found this book to be rather lacking in terms of plot, conflict and character development of everyone except the main character. To make matters worse, this book is incredibly dull.
