It didn't occur to me until I read this book that Toni Morrison is a feminist. Duh! I liked this book. She lets you assume some things. I like that. A few things were revealed here and there in the book that contradicted my own assumptions which made me stop and think about myself and the way I think. She engaged my mind. I really liked the scenes with the demon-girl. I cracked up when she and Florens parted at the river. For some reason, that part really tickled me. I keep thinking about it and smiling.
