I adored this book as a child. The creepiness of the long tunnel and the way the quilt turns into scenery stayed with me into adulthood, and I was so delighted to discover it again a few years ago!

Thank you Overdrive from the local library. My first foray into "loaned" ebooks. I hope it goes well. Wow. For those people who read in bed and don't have at least one dictionary near at hand, here's one reason why you should say shame on yourself. On the surface it's a fabulous story, but if you have built your vocabulary and learn to read what's just below the surface, there are some seriously bawdy sections that had me back flipping pages to find out if it really said what had just sunk in! Hopefully most 12 year olds won't grasp the double entendres but it gives such a treat for adults you really should read it! Oh how truly naughty, yet with just enough unsaid to viciously tease the imagination. Ooo!"
