i can't say that i've read this in its entirety. i'll be honest. however, i can say that i have read more lovecraft than is contained in this particular anthology, and what i have read was amazing. get past his multiple, blatant date stamps (the verbiage HAD to be trendy in the 20s at some points, timelessness was not a constant goal) and you're in for the horror writer that stephen king still wishes he was. when he's not busy, you know, writing stories that have no proper ending. great stuff.
