The first time I read this book was when I was still a pre-teen. I ABSOLUTELY feel in love with the language and the romance. This has led me to continue reading books by Jane Austen. I absolutely adore her as an author and am grateful she dedicated her life to providing the future with great literature. Currently, many of my high school seniors are reading Pride and Prejudice for their English classes. It has been fun to talk with these teenagers of today and hear their reactions to this classic. Unfortunately, few are appreciating the brilliance of this book. I try to bring the book to life during our discussions and I think I've helped a few to think about the book more on terms of the themes that are applicable to today. (It is also hard to find time in a math class to talk about a book for their English class, but we try.)
