Excellent story premise. I really liked the characters and the plot wasn't bad, but the book is about 200 pages too long. It just seemed to drag. Maybe that is because my DH and tried to read it aloud to each other. The book is around 600 pages and I think if it had been shorter it would have been much better. I have not seen the movie yet but I'm from what I've seen of the previews the movie is lots different from the book.
