I'm never going to finish reading this book. I'm sorry, I tried. DNF at 70% since the last time I picked it up was probably 6-7 months ago and I've dreaded going back to it ever since. I just found the writing impenetrably dry and the voice flatly un-engaging. Friends have promised me that the series greatly improves over time but I just can't slog through another 30% here. I wish I'd read this as a kid. Maybe I would have powered through it with a bit more vim and vigor.

As usual, this Alex Cross novel is action-packed. I think the Audience Killer is interesting, to a point, but the resolution of the plot over the last third of the novel is lacking. Not to mention the fact that the Kyle Craig storyline seems to have little use in actually driving this particular book; rather, it scarcely sets the table for future appearances by the Mastermind. Also concerning to me is that Sampson is becoming more and more two-dimensional and less a carefully developed character with each new novel.

Yani ... yazma tarzını beğendim. Ama görünüşte önemli olan karakterlerin sadece kaybolmak ve bir daha asla duyulmaması için tanıtılma şeklini beğenmedim. Arsa için de aynı şey geçerli. Arsada bir dönüş meydana gelir, ancak asla hiçbir yere gitmez. Hikayeyi beğendiğim halde, sinir bozucu buldum. Ve sonun biraz hayal kırıklığı yarattığını hissettim.
