After the dealing with the choice to take her husband off the ventilator, Olivia finds herself in a new town with no job, no friends, no husband. How could things be any worse? She learns she's pregnant. Reed Vincent is an artist who is struggling to save the one thing every artist needs most: his eyesight. He undergoes a corneal transplant, but only time will tell if the transplant will take. In order to use his eyesight for his artwork, he hires Olivia as his assistant. The two develop an unexpected bond, but then Olivia comes to realize where she has seen his signature before. Her moment of insight sends her packing her bags for Chicago.
