** spoiler alert ** This book is about Rachel, the protagonist, and her relationship with Dexter - Rachel's best friend's fiancé. Rachel and Dexter were just friends until Rachel's 30th birthday night - Rachel discovers that she likes Dex. Soon after, Rachel and Dex secretly spend time together and Darcy doesn't know it. Dex finds out that he loves Rachel instead of Darcy. But, Darcy falls for Dex's friend Marcus. While Dex and Darcy cheat on each other, Rachel struggles to know what's right and what's wrong. Rachel ends up making a choice that has both ups and downs. Something Borrowed was an interesting book to read. Giffin really explains characters' thoughts and feelings nicely. Even though the book was in Rachel's perspective, I felt like I knew a lot of characters. This book tells you to make the right choices based on what you think; not what others think. Rachel made choices based on what she thought was right. Something Borrowed was a realistic page turner with twists and turns in the plot that will keep you entertained.
